Dear Praying Friends, I trust that you are doing well. Please continue to pray for us. We desire to see genuine conversions and not just hollow professions. We desire to see families strengthened, and individuals drawn closer to God. It is summer time right now in the Philippines (April-May) and the schools are out. Please pray for our first ever VBS. I know you'll be in sincere prayers for us and I rejoice and thank the Lord for your friendship. Your Missionary because of Jesus, Bro. Bill Hardecker Hardecker Headlines Apr 2018 [dg]

"Uncle John Vassar" Baptist History segment at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton, Indiana One of the the finest and most fruitful soul winners that American history has ever recorded is John Vassar. He was known in history as Uncle John Vassar. His family came from French Huguenot heritage the beginning of the 18th century or early 1700s, because of religious persecution in France. His family crossed the English Channel into Britain and lived there for three or four generations. That is where John’s father was born. They chafed under the continuous church state restrictions (Britain didn't like them either because they [...]
A group consisting of several high school seniors, college students, and church members returned last week from a missions trip to Mexico City. They spent many days serving with Missionary Clint Rardin ('94) through witnessing, Bible clubs, services, a children's ministry workshop, and college classes. Praise the Lord for His working in the lives of the people in Mexico as well as in the lives of those who went. To see more pictures, click here or on the picture below.
Dear Praying Friends, Your prayers have been a great source of encouragement to my family and me. Thank you for being a blessing to us. Please feel free to visit our webpage at www.hardecker.com to see some videos and photo updates that I simply could not add to my newsletter. While there is no "Thanksgiving Day" in the Philippines, we are happy to have "Thanksgiving" in our home. We will also be able to join my parents in Angeles City for Thanksgiving. God is good! Dear Praying Friends, “For though I be absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ” (Colossians 2:5). It has been a blessing to hear of the church in Mexico City thriving in our absence. They have had attendances as high as 221 a couple of times with over 150 adults filling the auditorium and 70 children in the junior churches. The last few Sundays, they have seen two people saved. Amerika is a twelve-year-old girl whose parents, Anselmo and Katarina, were led to the [...]
Dear Praying Friends, Let us serve the Lord with gladness because joy and kindness affects our listeners like none other. Joy lightens the heaviest burdens and kindness pacifies the hardest cases. No matter how orthodox our doctrines may be, people will listen only to the extent that you share the truth in love and kindness. Remember, you and I can't do anything, but the Lord Jesus can do all things! Attached is our October update. Thank you ever so kindly for your love and prayers. Please continue the importunate prayers on our behalf. Yours ever more for the Lord Jesus' sake, [...]
Dear Praying Friends, We praise God for your fellowship in the gospel! The Lord has graciously kept us safe as we continue to evangelize Tuktukan either by visitation or tract distribution and we are thankful for His grace. God is faithful in provisions, protection, and we are strengthened by this promise: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Phil. 4:13). We are encouraged to know that many of God's people earnestly pray for us concerning the missionary work that the Lord has allowed us to be engaged in. Please note that I couldn't fit any of the photos [...]
The past couple of weeks have been exciting for us. First, we had a very unusual thing happen for the first week of our special services this month. We, of course, tried to get our friends and acquaintances in to hear the Gospel; and we did have about ten such unsaved people in our service on the 10th. But beside them, there were 8 people that just came in having seen our sign, not knowing that we were having special services, but having asked about our schedule from some of our children that were playing outside at the time! I have [...]
Dear Praying Friends, First of all, thank you for your prayers! We aren't alone in the work of the ministry. Your prayers have been graciously heard and we are the beneficiaries of blessings by your intercession for us and for our mission-work in Tuktukan. This newsletter is a special edition from William Tyndale (our 6 year old). We trust that you are doing good and keeping busy with service for the Lord. The Lord desires to see souls saved, and we can be instruments in His hands to lead them to Him. Salvation is only the start. The life-long work of [...]
Our 2nd annual family camp saw five families represented! We had an adventure getting our vehicles over the mountain to get out there, but no accidents so we praise the Lord for that! For the most part the weather was beautiful, no one got chilled at night, and all had a great time. We are praying for eternal results and growth in our young families as well as us old fogies! Thanks to all who knew about it and prayed for safety. Monday brings Week #1 of our countryside camps for the vbs kids who earned the privilege to go. We [...]
Hello, We are in out fourth week of our summer camp. It is our second teen week. I believe that the devil is fighting us, and we would appreciate your prayers. We had 20 teens today with a few new teens to preach the Gospel to. I hope for a few more tomorrow, as over 30 kids registered to come. I encouraged the teens today to try to get the ones who didn't come today to come tomorrow. We had a good response to our invitations in our two weeks of junior camp. We had about 15 that responded to the [...]
Dear Faithful Friends, 2 Thess. 3:1 "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:" While there are many things that could hinder the work and the Word of God our confidence remains steadfast upon the Lord. His Word will do the work! Thank you for your prayers and partnership with us in the ministry. Marcia and I celebrated our 13th year wedding anniversary, and we are thankful for all the well wishes and greetings we received, but most especially for your prayers! Stick by the [...]
Dear Praying Friends, So much has happened since I last wrote. First of all, I have some sad news. As those who receive our updates know, Daniel Juarez, one of our students in the Bible Institute, passed away at 23 years of age in March. Danny was one of the most spiritual and sincere Christians I have known. Because of his constant battles with his kidneys (he was on dialysis 10 hours a day), he had stared death in the face many times and knew his time could be short. Because of this, he tried to live life to the fullest [...]
