This past Sunday evening was our traditional New Year's service. The service included congregational singing, food and fellowship, specials, testimonies, and preaching from some of our college and high school preacher boys. We are looking forward serving the Lord in 2019!
What a blessing to celebrate our Savior's birth and worship Him on Christmas Sunday! Some of the 3rd-6th grade children provided a short program portraying the true meaning of Christmas. The program along with the musical specials helped to prepare hearts for the preaching of the Word through a message brought by Pastor Damron. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our annual Christmas banquet. The food and fellowship were wonderful. Following the delicious meal, Pastor Gary Zdziarski from Tabernacle Baptist Church in Quincy, Illinois, brought a challenging message. Pastor Zdziarski ('89) and his wife, Lisa ('91), are both FBC alumni, and now their three oldest children are enrolled in Fairhaven Baptist College.
We were privileged to participate in Chesterton's Twilight Christmas Parade. We used this opportunity to pass out over 800 Christmas tracts and invitations (and many pieces of candy to the happy children lining the parade route.) We will also be a part of the Snowflake Parade in Michigan City this Saturday, December 8. If you are in the area, come on over!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the saxophone, piano, and harp concert performed by Seth and Moriah Custer. Dr. Seth Custer and his wife, Moriah, are both professional musicians. The music was beautiful and uplifting, and their burden to see God-honoring music in churches was evident. To purchase CDs, follow this link.
