Our VBS last week was a blessing! Members jumped in and were involved in many ways--helping with registration, listening to verses, helping with skits, helping with rally time, teaching and helping during class time, life-guarding and swim-time helpers, serving and preparing afternoon snack, helping clean up, telling missionary stories, providing transportation, and more! We ran an average of 164 kids, with a high day of 173. The Lord blessed with 5 young people accepting the Lord as their Savior! The week ended with a special program during our Thursday evening church service. [...]
Since its inception Fairhaven Baptist Church has provided a caring outreach to the special needs members of the surrounding communities. Without a doubt the highlight of this "Shepherds" ministry is the annual camp week. Several dedicated church volunteers work together to make these weeks memorable. Activities included daily Bible challenges, games, bowling competition, crafts, singing competition, and a puppet show, just to name a few.

A fun family activity started the evening off with games in the gym and a gift exchange, followed by a church-wide fellowship with lots of good food, and a special service full of singing, specials, preaching, and testimonies. At the conclusion of the service, we prayed in the new year together. We are looking forward to serving the Lord in 2020! [...]
What a blessing to celebrate our Savior's birth and worship Him on Christmas Sunday! Some of the 3rd-6th grade children provided a short program portraying the true meaning of Christmas. The program along with the musical specials helped to prepare hearts for the preaching of the Word through a message brought by Pastor Damron. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our annual Christmas banquet. The food and fellowship were wonderful. Following the delicious meal, Pastor Kyle Allen from Richmond Baptist Church in Richmond, Indiana, brought a challenging message. Pastor Allen and his wife Elizabeth (Roadcup) are both 2005 graduates of Fairhaven Baptist College.
