Friday night the students played and sang in this semester’s music recital. Jan’s students range from Elias, a faculty couple’s son, to seminary graduates, and everything in between. This was the first time she herself did not play at the end of the recital in quite a few years. She can still play the piano (carefully)but continues doing physical therapy for her wrist.

On Saturday night we had a couples activity at the church. Rafael, our new pastor, is excited about having men’s, lady’s, couple’s and children’s activities scheduled, to build up each one of these groups. The theme for the evening was “Mexico night.” You might think being South Americans they would know a good bit about Mexican culture, but you would be wrong. We probably know more than they do, and that’s because Mexico is our U.S. neighbor. We had to tell them that what they were calling a burrito was actually a taco! But they had a great time with the idea.

Thank you for your prayers concerning our tax ID. Our accountant was able to get the correct paperwork filed so they could reactivate our number, allowing us once again to use our bank account. We actually learned that 4.5 million others had the same problem in the last 20 days. The government recently put a new system in place that will mean some expensive changes for us, but we are trusting the Lord for His direction and provision.

This week is our Missions Conference. My brother Shawn, as well as one of our church-planting graduates will be speaking. Pray that God will use these days in the life of our students.

For His Harvest,

Ed and Jan
