For episode 50 of the "50 Baptist You Should Know" Series, we will explore the life of Phillip Bliss. We know Phillip Bliss as a prolific hymn writer and we sing many of his hymns most Sundays.  Phillip Bliss was born into a poor Pennsylvania farmer's home.  Though money was not in abundance, his parents gave him a rich godly heritage. From a young age, Phillip had an exceptional musical talent, making instruments and a gifted singing voice.  He would use this talent for the glory of God. Listen along as we discuss the first part of the life of Phillip Bliss.

Most people have Colgate products in their homes, but few may know the story of William Colgate.  For episode 49 of the "50 Baptist You Should Know" Series, we will explore the life of William Colgate. From a young boy, William's parents taught him at least 10% of every dollar belonged to God.  This teaching followed him throughout his life. At sixteen, William left his parents farm to find work in NYC to find work. He found it working for a soap boiler. At that time, most housewives made their own soap; William sought to disrupt that.  He found a way to mass produce
