Bible Text: | Dave Olson
We cherish the First Amendment because it protects our freedom of speech, but do not forget that there is a higher law than that of this land -the Bible. God has the right to dictate what we say, how we say it, and when we say it.
We live in an age when most people believed that they are not only entitled to have an opinion but that their opinion must always be shared. There are times that we should bite our tongue. The world would be a better place if everyone followed God's guidelines for speech. Let's learn a little bit about controlling our speech.

Conclusion
God is concerned about our speech. We get ourselves into a lot of trouble when we fail to control what comes out of our mouths. Never forget that what you say reveals what you are. So, think before you speak, choose your words carefully, and limit what you say. You have the right to remain silent. Perhaps you should excercise that right a little more frequently! Ask God for help, and He will help you do what you cannot naturally do yourself.
