Raised in a drunkards family, God used Norris to preach strongly against gambling, drinking, and modernism.

For most of his ministry, John Norris lead the largest church in Fort Worth, Texas.  Later, a church in Detroit called Norris to pastor their church.  Norris accepted the position which lead to his pastoring of the two largest churches in the country.
