For episode 21 of the "50 Baptist You Should Know" Series, we will discuss the baptist John Gano.
John Gano was a direct descendant of a French Huguenot. He ministered as the chaplain for the Continental Army during the American War for Independence. During the war, his ministry in New York faced great loss. After the war, Gano found only seven of his almost 200 members before the war.
After the war, Gano sold his possessions in New York and moved to Kentucky. In that time, He continued to plant churches along with his evangelizing efforts.
John Gano passed away August 9, 1804 at his home in Frankfort Kentucky.
