The Prince of Preachers saw his need of a Savior at the age of 15.  God mightly used Charles to minister to thousands in London, England.  It is estimated his average Sunday attendance was in the 10,ooo's.  He ministered in the Metropolitan Tabernacle.

He was born in Germany and began an apprenticeship in England as a teenager.  He was saved while in England and began to be a strong soul winner.  His motto was "Every Baptist a Missionary."
