The Wonder of the Cross Mark 15 Thought: Before Christ, the cross was despised. It was a symbol of the worse kind of cruelty and barbarity imaginable. The purpose of the cross was to execute criminals in the most hideous means, producing the greatest amount of pain and agony over an extended time. But, after Christ’s death on the cross, this despised symbol became a representation of unconditional love. It came to signify sacrifice and forgiveness representing the whole Christian faith. It went from an article of shame and reproach to pride and praise among the faithful. The2020-04-13T13:24:00-05:00April 12th, 2020|

What the Bible says about Fear 5-year old Johnny was in the kitchen as his mother was preparing supper. She asked him to go into the pantry and get her a can of tomato soup, but he didn’t want to go in alone. "It’s dark in there and I’m scared." She asked again, and he persisted. Finally she said, "It’s OK--Jesus will be in there with you." Johnny walked hesitantly to the door and barely opened it very slowly. He peeked inside, saw it was dark, and started to leave when all at once he had an idea. He said: "Jesus, if2019-07-07T09:12:09-05:00June 30th, 2019|
