“The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:9).

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

“The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah” (Psalm 46:11).

“God is known in her palaces for a refuge” (Psalm 48:3).

“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” (Psalm 91:2).

“Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation” (Psalm 91:9).

“But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge” (Psalm 94:22).

Stayed Upon Jehovah

Like a river glorious is God’s perfect peace,
Over all victorious in its bright increase.
Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.

Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand.
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.

Every joy or trial falleth from above,
Traced upon our dial by the Sun of Love.
We may trust Him fully all for us to do,
They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true.

Chorus: Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest—
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.
