The last few weeks have been a real blessing!  We had a family conference the end of July.  It started on a Friday night and went through Sunday.  To prepare the grounds, we had a couple of work days where we did some deep cleaning, repaired a wall, and stained the pews and pulpit. It is always encouraging to see some fruit for your labor.  Last month I was able to lead a 31 year old man to Christ at church on a week night.  He and his wife visited church 2 or 3 weeks prior and he asked if we could meet to talk.  His name is Kaio and we are praying that he grows as he is experiencing the new battle between the old man and the new man. Hello from sunny Brazil.  We have had a busy few months.  I performed my first baptismal service here in Brazil.  We made a big Sunday of it all, with a meal at the church.  We had three baptized and eight visitors which we praise the Lord for. Thank you all so much to those that prayed for my surgery and recovery.  I had surgery on the 15th of December and it really went well.  I'll admit that I was not looking forward to the experience.  The Lord was really good.  The doctor ended up repairing more than was originally intended, with no extra cost.  To continue reading the update from Joel Dunbar, please click on the link below. I trust you all had a good Resurrection Sunday, in remembrance of all that Christ has done for us! I hope this letter finds you well.  We are rejoicing in what God has recently done. I needed to renew my visa again, which proved interesting during a world-wide pandemic.  The mail was so slow that my documents from the U.S. were expired about the time I received them.  Because of this I expected to pay a fine for being late.  As it turned out, I was actually early, and all my paperwork was accepted the first time.  To continue reading the update from Joel Dunbar, please click the link below. On January 21st, I received a call from my lawyer that we would be going to the Federal Police to pick up or long awaited ID cards.  We received them without any problems.  We also did not have to pay any part of the fine that we were originally charged with.  Praise the Lord!
