The translators continue working diligently on the new Swahili translation. This work can sometimes become very tiresome as they continue to understand better what the Greek and English versions say and to find the correct Swahili words to use. We made our first trip into Burundi since the Covid pandemic began. We had to jump through a few extra hoops to get there and back to Kenya, but it was well worth it. We certainly have not had a furlough quite like this one before. In spite of the Covid 19 pandemic and the general chaos in the world today our furlough has probably been one of the best that we have ever had. There were disruptions to our schedule and some different unique types of services, but in spite of it all we found a healthy, if not thriving atmosphere, in almost every church that we visited. This past Sunday evening during our annual missions conference, the Grace Bible Baptist Church voted unanimously to oversee a new Swahili translation of the Bible! Rift Valley Baptist College The Bible College ministry is a vital part of our training program for both those called into the ministry and to strenthen the churches with members who can handle the Word of God properly. The Lord blessed on a recent missions trip to Africa. 11 adults and young people went on the 16-day trip. The group was able to see ministries in Kabwe, Zambia; Monze, Zambia; and Nakuru, Kenya. Two of these ministries are led by Fairhaven Baptist College alumni, Adam ('08) and Carol (Porozynski '06) Rich (Zambia); and Robert ('89) and Wendy (Phoenix '90) Mickey (Kenya). [...]

Furlough About Over We are quickly coming to the end of our brief furlough. The time has gone by quickly but we believe it has been beneficial.
