This past year (2021), the Grace Bible Baptist Church of Nakuru, Kenya gave 4,875,810 in Kenyan Shillings to missions.  This is an equivalence of $43,110.  This money was entirely given through the effort of the church and does not include any money from other churches that partner in our missions program.  This was the best ever missions giving year of the church and in spite of the COVID lockdown, people losing their jobs and the great struggle just to put food on the table.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click on the link below. We still have some limitations on the ministry due to Covid restrictions, although slowly, we have begun implementing some things again.  This past week, we had our first Bible college in over a year and a half.  We plan to begin our soul-winning program again in November, and I also have a tentative trip planned to visit our churches in Burundi.  Unfortunately, we are still not able to get back into the Congo due to the restrictions. We are happy to report that the lockdown that we have been under due to the spread of the Covid-19 Virus was lifted in early May.  There are still ongoing restrictions such as a curfew, crowd size limitations, etc., but churches can meet again.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click the link below. We received word yesterday that we are being partially locked down again because of a "third wave" of the Covid 19 virus that has hit Kenya.  There is a five-county radius that has been declared a disease disaster zone.  Our county, Nakuru county is part of this zone.  There are several restrictions that affect us personally but there are a couple that severely affect the ministry. Just a few days before our scheduled departure from the States to Kenya, we received a phone call that nobody ever wants to receive.  Our daughter Charity called telling us that her father-in-law and my great friend, Scott Hall, was suddenly taken from this life.  At the young age of 49 he died suddenly and unexpectedly from the COVID 19 virus.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click the link below. Kenya began opening the country back up for international travel, albeit with strict conditions, on August 1st.  This allowed me to take a quick 17 day trip to Kenya.  Truly people are hurting because of the economic shutdown that lasted nearly five months.  It will take quite a while for things to get back to normal for the majority of people.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click the link below. We started our missions program Grace to the Regions Beyond, for the purpose of taking the gospel to the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Traveling to Congo always took us through the country of Burundi.  We did not know much about this small country that sits south of Rwanda and east of Congo.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click the link below. FAMILY CONFERENCE People speak different languages, eat different foods and have different cultures, but when getting past those differences one thing remains the same; people are people and we all have the same concerns and problems.  In Kenya, as it is all over the world, the family is under attack and the need for biblical answers is great.  For some time we have been burdened to begin a family conference in order to better strengthen our families.  To continue reading the update from Robert Mickey, please click the link below.
