On May 15, our pastoral search concluded when the membership of Fairhaven Baptist Church called Dr. Jeremiah Mitchell to be its next pastor. Dr. Mitchell far exceeded the percentage of votes required and has accepted the call to pastor. We are grateful for God’s leading throughout this process and wish to extend a special thanks to all who prayed with us during this time. We’re reminded of I Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” [...]

A long-standing tradition at Fairhaven Baptist Church involves our teens collecting food for those in need both in our church and in the area. Our youth group gathered over 10,105 pounds of food this year! "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10).

What a wonderful day we had at Fairhaven Baptist Church for Resurrection Sunday! The adults in the auditorium not only enjoyed hearing the children's Easter program but also a challenging message from Pastor Damron. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (I Peter 1:3)."
An extra blessing for our New Year's service this year was the opportunity for some of our teens and college young people to "takeover" the service. Please continue to pray that our young people will grow in the Lord in 2021!
