Dear Friends, Greetings from the Independent Baptist Church in Belize City, Belize! We hope you enjoyed the Christmas time events with your families and church. Our events include an annual Christmas program from the Sunday school class on the Sunday before Christmas. Our attendance on that morning was 187, which is our second highest day in our almost three years of ministering in Belize City. More than the numbers, we were thrilled that five adults responded to the Gospel message and received Christ! We finished 2014, with a Sunday morning average of 118, which is a growth of 32 from the [...]

Dear Friends, One of our most important ministries is our youth group. We have been blessed with a good group of teenagers who are exciting to watch as they grow in the Lord. Our teens actually comprise a very large part of our church, and the number of them that are dedicated to following God is growing. It is our goal and our hope to build a strong church for years to come with the teenagers God has given today. Seeing this great responsibility we have been given, it is our goal to see these teens develop habits and standards that [...]

Dear Friends, We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful and fruitful summer in the Lord’s service. The beginning of July was our Vacation Bible School, and we had a great time that week. Our theme was “Fishers of Men.” A mission team from Cornerstone Baptist Church in Massillon, Ohio, came down to help us, and we are very thankful for their help during their visit. We had a high attendance of 102, and many of them were brand new contacts within walking distance of the church. Instead of having one combined class, we split the VBS into two separate classes. [...]

Dear Friends, We trust that you have enjoyed the Christmas season with your family and church activities. As a church, we have established a tradition of collecting a Christmas offering to make Christmas food baskets for the needy. Last year we raised $500 to ward this project and passed out 11 baskets of food. This year our goal was $750, which we reached just in time. Some of the recipients of the fifteen food baskets were families within our church who are presently in need. Other families have been recently contacted through our soulwinning outreach. In November, a mother was walking [...]

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas time. Having our first Christmas as a church, we began some Christmas traditions. Our church gathered together almost $500 as a special Christmas offering. We used the money to purchase food for baskets. In all, we made eleven baskets for Christmas dinner for eleven needy families. On Thursday, December 20, our church met for a “pot luck” dinner and put the boxes of food together. The families also delivered the food to the needy families. Five of the families who received the baskets already attend our services. It was a time of great fellowship [...]
